Accidental Tourists: SKELETON CREW
Center Stage actors arrive in Baltimore and throw themselves into their roles. But when they have a little downtime, they explore and fall in love with Charm City. Skeleton Crew, playing through March 4 to rave reviews, features Sekou Laidlow as an automobile factory manager, and Brittany Bellizeare, who plays a proud, pregnant assembly line worker. Baltimore Center Stage's Public Relations Manager Robyn Murphy caught up with them to ask where they’ve dined and what they’ve done around town.
Robyn: You’re both vegan. Where’s your favorite place to grab a bite to eat?
Brittany: I thoroughly enjoyed participating in Baltimore Vegan Week at Golden West Cafe and Harmony Bakery!
Sekou: Two of my favorite spots have been the The Big Bean Theory at Mount Vernon Marketplace and The Grub Factory, also a few blocks from Center Stage, both of which are vegan spots.
Robyn: What were some of the most fun or interesting things you’ve been able to do here? Were there any places in particular you liked seeing?
Sekou: The most interesting thing by far was the Antigravity Restorative Session (Gong Sound Edition) I attended at the Movement Lab on 29th Street with my sister, Lisa Bishop.
Brittany: I loved walking around on The Avenue in Hampden!
