The Jokesters, Steve Bauer and Marianne Wittelsberger, are professionally trained in the fine arts of mime, clowning, magic, makeup, and costume design. They have been performing for audiences across the U.S. since 1983, including eight Command Performances at the White House and a Royal Command Performance for the King of Saudi Arabia.

“I love acting. It’s one way of contributing to the art,” he says. “But I realized eventually that it was never about becoming famous for me. It was more about using theater to make a difference somehow. I wanted to have a greater impact on the community and the world around me.”
